    "Good morning Danny!

Yes we have opened the boxes thank you. There was so much in there! The only thing we didn’t really use, was the loo roll as staff are ok getting that so we redirected it to a food bank facility for vulnerable people. Everything else was great. Helen"

    Dear Danny,
Thank you ever so much for your kind and generous donations of assorted items received in aid of our patients and staff at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Trust, we truly appreciate it.

    Dear Danny

As a key supporter of the Royal Free Charity during the Coronavirus crisis, I wanted to thank you for your incredibly kind donation of supermarket items to our staff and to let you know about the broadcast of a two-part documentary, Hospital: fighting COVID-19.

Filmed over three weeks at the Royal Free London during the peak of pandemic, it will air on BBC 2 at 9pm on Monday and Tuesday, the 11th and 12th of May. A trailer for the programme has started to run across all BBC channels too.

The documentary will bring home powerfully the value of the enormous support you have helped provide to staff looking after our desperately ill patients at Barnet and the Royal Free hospitals. The episodes include the treatment of the last patient to have a transplant at the Royal Free Hospital before the service was paused and the care of a 73-year-old at Barnet Hospital who is seen struggling with low oxygen levels.

I hope you will watch the documentary and feel assured that your generosity could not have been better placed. Your support is ensuring that the needs of staff at the Royal Free and Barnet hospitals will continue to be met, and, on behalf of the Royal Free Charity, I would like to thank you for enabling us to do this.

We will, of course, keep you updated on our progress and the impact of your support. But if you would like to discuss any aspect of this, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

In the meantime, thanks again for your truly wonderful support during this critical and challenging time.

    With best wishes
